Pottermore Online - JK Rowling's New Website

Instead of creating some random website, write more Harry Potter books!!!!

http://www.pottermore.com

Harry Potter fans are rejoicing over J.K. Rowling's announcement of Pottermore, an online world in which she promises to provide new details about the lives and adventures of the boy wizard and his friends.

But Pottermore's news was nearly eclipsed by a bigger revelation: The Potter series will soon be available in e-book form.

Fans have wondered why the books have never been in digital form; now they know she was saving them for the Pottermore debut in October.

"Pottermore will be the place where fans of any age can share, participate in and rediscover the stories," Rowling said Thursday from London in a YouTube video.

Emma Watson Left Brown College. Admits, "I was in denial".

For "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson, who had already earned more in childhood than most people make in a lifetime, college was an opportunity to be like everyone else.

Prior to entering Brown University in Providence, R.I., in the fall of 2009, Watson told Teen Vogue: "I'm doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity. I want to do it properly, like everyone else. As long as I don't walk in and see, like, 'Harry Potter' posters everywhere, I'll be fine."

There were no posters or autograph-hounding fans. Nor was there any truth to earlier reports that Watson was being heckled with "Harry Potter" phrases like "Three points for Gryffindor!" when she answered a question correctly in class.

But after 18 months, Watson made the decision to leave Brown because she realized that she is not like everyone else.

"I was in denial," the 21-year-old actress told the U.K.'s Sunday Times Style Magazine recently about her decision to drop out. "I wanted to pretend I wasn't as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I'm in and what happened."

Poor Emma, she is better off doing online classes. At least then she doesn't have to worry about being famous.

JK Rowling Spends $1.6M To Demolish Home, Expand Her Personal Garden

When “Harry Potter” scribe JK Rowling wanted a bit more green room, the neighboring home to her Edinburgh mansion seemed like the best place to start.

The 45-year-old was recently granted permission to tear down the $1.6M home to expand her personal garden and build a “a ‘garden room’ folly with a thirty-foot conical center tower and a chimney.” While the project sits in a conservation zone, the governing council did not object to the plans owning to the fact that it ‘goes some way to restoring an original garden plot’.

Rowling purchased her 17-century home, dubbed the “White House”, for somewhere around $3M two years ago. The plot it sits on is drenched in ancient mysticism, having been owned by the Knights Templar long before the foundation was laid in 1615. Before selling, the original owner spent a sizable amount of cash renovating the home – as well as reportedly shipping some 37 tonnes of fully grown specimen trees and shrubs from a nursery in Bergerac, France.

She is too rich, give some of that money to people who really need it lady! Also write more Harry Potter books, don't be stubborn, you only live once.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 Review

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 Review

Wow, what can I say. The long awaited wait was worth it. This was probably the greatest Harry Potter movie to date. Not only did it involve lots of action. Harry and friends did so much more compared to the last few movies.

SPOILERS!!!!!

It is sad everytime they kill off characters, but you can't change the books. Three main characters died, Mad Eye, Harry's owl and Hedwig all died. It is disappointing that these 3 characters died, but I guess they need to, in order to move the story along.

Harry has more fight in him this time around, and it shows. He who shall not be named now is corrupting the ministry of magic. The half wizards are shunned and singled out. Even killed.... So what if they are half human half wizard. Just makes them that more powerful.

The dark lord has the right idea to fear them, as they are the future of wizardry! It is so sad that this is the 2nd to last movie they will be making. I am however happy there is one more movie left to the series!

If you have not seen it yet, go see it now!

J.K. Rowling hints to Oprah there could be more 'Harry Potter'

OMG!! I knew she couldn't resist, the end of Harry Potter was so boring! I mean what will Harry be like when he's older and how powerful!

Fans, rejoice -- J.K. Rowling offered a bit of hope on Friday that, perhaps, the final Harry Potter story has yet to be told.
"I could definitely write an eighth, ninth, tenth," the celebrated author, 45, told Oprah Winfrey during an interview scheduled to air Friday. "I'm not going to say I won't. I don't think I will ... I feel I am done, but you never know."
Speaking in Edinburgh, where the interview took place, Rowling said she felt something of a loss upon finishing the saga's last installment,"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." "It was a bereavement," she said.
Not that she's completely put down her pen. Rowling plans to write more books, and feels there is no need to match or top her previous achievement.
