Pottermore Online - JK Rowling's New Website

Instead of creating some random website, write more Harry Potter books!!!!

http://www.pottermore.com

Harry Potter fans are rejoicing over J.K. Rowling's announcement of Pottermore, an online world in which she promises to provide new details about the lives and adventures of the boy wizard and his friends.

But Pottermore's news was nearly eclipsed by a bigger revelation: The Potter series will soon be available in e-book form.

Fans have wondered why the books have never been in digital form; now they know she was saving them for the Pottermore debut in October.

"Pottermore will be the place where fans of any age can share, participate in and rediscover the stories," Rowling said Thursday from London in a YouTube video.

J.K. Rowling hints to Oprah there could be more 'Harry Potter'

OMG!! I knew she couldn't resist, the end of Harry Potter was so boring! I mean what will Harry be like when he's older and how powerful!

Fans, rejoice -- J.K. Rowling offered a bit of hope on Friday that, perhaps, the final Harry Potter story has yet to be told.
"I could definitely write an eighth, ninth, tenth," the celebrated author, 45, told Oprah Winfrey during an interview scheduled to air Friday. "I'm not going to say I won't. I don't think I will ... I feel I am done, but you never know."
Speaking in Edinburgh, where the interview took place, Rowling said she felt something of a loss upon finishing the saga's last installment,"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." "It was a bereavement," she said.
Not that she's completely put down her pen. Rowling plans to write more books, and feels there is no need to match or top her previous achievement.

J.K. Rowling donates $15.4 million to MS Research (Multiple Sclerosis)

This is really nice of her I hope her money helps the cause.

"Author J.K. Rowling has donated $15.4 million to a multiple sclerosis research and treatment center at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

The creator of the "Harry Potter" franchise says she hopes the clinic will become "a world center for excellence in the field of regenerative neurology."

Rowling's mother, Anne, died of complications related to MS at 45, before her daughter found literary fame. The currently incurable neurological disease can take many forms, ranging from relatively mild and manageable to progressive and debilitating. The center will also study Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases.

"I cannot think of anything more important, or of more lasting value, than to help the university attract world-class minds in the field on neuroregeneration, to build on its long and illustrious history of medical research and, ultimately, to seek a cure for a very Scottish disease," Rowling said in a statement Tuesday.

"Very Scottish disease" may refer to the fact that MS in more common in people from northern latitudes. The donation is the biggest charitable gift made by Rowling, who just turned 45 herself and is a longtime Edinburgh resident. Source: LA Times"

Opening overview of Wizarding World of Harry Potter with J.K. Rowling

What is great, is that I will be visiting Orlando's Universal Studios in a month or so! I CAN'T WAIT!

Universal published a video montage of the grand opening festivities surrounding the Wizarding World of Harry Potter last week.

It covers the Wednesday evening celebrity preview with the stars of the movie and fireworks display with John Williams, a quick word from author JK Rowling, some of the cast exploring the shops of Hogsmeade, and the Friday unveiling.
